New Theme

Hello,

Sorry for the lack of posts, reviews and updates as I have been really busy as of late between the games that was purchased from Steam during the ridiculous sales. I picked up a few games like “Mass Effect 2″, “Grid”, “Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition” and a few more..

Without much more delay I would like to present you with the new Amnesia Fx Studios Theme. This theme was completely designed by and for us. There is still some tweaking and debugging but within the next few weeks all those kinks should be gone.

Now time for the updates!
-More effects will be posted.
-Visual Effect Tutorials Will be created and posted.

My Experience: Synapse 2.0

Well for the past few days I have had the pleasure to try out the new Synapse 2.0 software from Razer. However due to the fact its beta well I hope that it is the reason but I have not been able to even try it farther then just logging in. First thing I got once it was installed and ready to run is “Please connect a Razer synapse 2.0 enabled devices.” Well first thing Is first I try all the normal debugging steps aka unplugging and plugging back in about a dozen times. I have tried different USB ports and still have yet to correct the problem oh wait never mind I forgot to mention I have a new issue that comes now…

Lovely right lol

Not only now does the synapse software not recognizing my Razer Naga mouse. It screws up the native original Razer naga mouse drivers and says “No Naga Mouse Connected”… yay…..

I have been in contact with the Razer Company in order to try and figure out why this issue has come up and to be honest other then it being a bug I haven’t a fucking clue of what the hell is wrong. I know it’s in beta but shouldn’t beta versions still work at least with a limited functionality.

Well they gave me a new version of the synapse software to try and well still nothing better than before. Hopefully the Synapse software will make some progress and allow me to actually use it.

Right now the idea of the software still has me intrigued to use it but I just wish it actually worked. Well I will check back in later once it works and give a new opinion.

Razer Synapse 2.0 Beta Testing

razer Synapse 2.0

Well its official, I have been accepted into the beta testing for the “Razer” “Synapse 2.0″ beta testing. From everything I have been told and was able to read this new setup will allow me to make setting changes to my “Razer Naga” Mouse and upload those settings to a cloud that will remember those settings which will enable me to refresh my Razer Naga or any other razer product that I have. Also it turns out that it will also handle firmware and driver updates as well without having to manually go to a webpage and download and install them.

Today I have been accepted into the beta and I am currently installing the files required to use the synapse and will be giving a more formal and informational review of this product as I try it out.

ParaNorman – Movie

ParaNorman Movie Poster

ParaNorman a movie from the creators of the Coraline movie are releasing this interesting stop motion film this upcoming august. The synopsis of this film is that a town becomes over ran by zombies , Wait let me guess are you thinking what i am thinking?

Yes another zombie flick however if this fallows that ere feel that was Coraline then this movie should be something to see.

Well the story is as fallows the town becomes under siege of zombies and the only one that seems to be able to help is a boy named Norman Voiced by (Kodi Smit-McPhee) is apparently able to speak with the dead!

I see dead People

I don’t know but I seem to have a feeling that another “I see dead people” Trend will be overcoming the world of social repeating. Norm also throughout the rest of the film has to deal with Ghosts, Witches and last but not least the most scariest thing of all Grown-Ups and save them from an old curse he apparently will have to take his paranormal powers to the other worldly limits. The basics of the story line are as well simple but yet always still fun to watch, well as long as they are not completely drawn out for 3 quarters of the flick. I am not sure if this film will be Movie Theater worthy though the aspect of 3D may give this film the ability to woo me with thrill.

Lorax Movie

Lorax Movie Poster

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax seems like one interesting move, though which of the Dr. Seuss’ are not on the slightly odd side. The story is your typical story line, Boy likes girl, girl doesn’t quite realize this yet and boy goes on adventure to win the affection of this girl. Though if you ever really paid much attention in English class you learn that there is only about a handful of story’s to tell that are just rearranged with slightly different plots and characters.

This story features a boy named Ted (Ed Helms) who goes on an adventure to win the affection of this girl named Audrey (Taylor swift). During his adventure to find an actual living tree he discovers the Lorax (Danny DeVito). Wait a minute why exactly are their no living trees? Did they go on strike or where they made all into wood tables when simply using hemp would have solved that issue? Now this raises a new question if there are no living trees than how the hell are they living, further more do they still breathe air? You know that stuff that we use every minute of every day to live!

Other than a few interesting plot holes that I can poke at the visual of this film seem pretty neat with a very colorful world that you would expect to find from a Dr. Seuss’ film. I will be keeping my eye on this film as in this day in age it seems though these movies are made for children which we all know now that this is just a clever cover up for the fact that adults enjoy these movies much more.

Razer Synapse 2.0 and the Cloud

Razer.com || Synapse 2.0

In this age of technology the way we use computers is rapidly changing, how is it changing you might ask? Well that is simple, in the old days everything you did on a PC/MAC or even Smartphone was stored and operated from the Hard Drive or Flash Memory of the device in question. Now there is something new on the horizon and that is Cloud Computing.  Google and Microsoft the giants of the computing world have jumped into this new trend as well as some others like amazon and with that being said its no doubt that others would be jumping on this speeding train of a trend now too.

Razer has just announced Synapse 2.0, this software Cloud will allow Razer Product owners to literally save their settings to the cloud and go anywhere in the world or build a new computer and load the cloud and poof!! Settings for every device (Razer Product) will be instantly flashed and now you will have the same settings as you did back in that pizza and energy drink covered dorm.

This Cloud computing has me very interested but at the same time very worried because it seems as though we are slowly moving away from the age where we keep our files to our own devices. I do visual graphics and Visual effects so I tend to keep tons of stuff that I may or may not need on my PC HDD so that later I can either use it or forget to delete it for years. I do see the added benefits of Cloud computer as it has to be nice to know that you can buy a Google OS powered laptop and when it dies by another and log into the cloud and you still have access to everything that you would have lost with a traditional pc, however this raises many upon many questions to my mind! Yes I have access to these files but well in all intensive purpose so does everyone else!! And that worries me a bit.

I think cloud computing should be an added option to system backup features so that if you have to wipe you’re 2TB HDD or need to transfer files from one device to another it can be a cinch. I guess I am old fashioned about my computing but I am just looking from this in well a maybe odd standpoint but if that all too popular thing happens where zombies take over the world and it’s a fight for our very survival i just believe that in this very unlikely situation that my files should be kept on my HDD so that when power is turned off and Google or Microsoft is being ran by zombies? Wait a minute aren’t they already ran by mindless zombies? Oh well back to my thoughts I just believe that it’s safe to keep a local copy of my naughty pictures I mean my Project files for work then to rely on an only cloud controlled setup.

Star Trek Online Revisited

Star Trek Online Revisited

After some many months of not playing I decided to go back to this game and give her another try. Once I entered the game I noticed a few changes already from the look of the games features to some of the new things I’ve been waiting for since its inception. Going back to the past when the game was first released back in the beginning of 2010 was the ability to step into your own ship and view however at that point it was rather limited as you could only view the bridge of the ship.

Recently when my re-visitation to my ship that has been floating in space for a long period of time I found that beyond the fact that everybody on my ship was still alive that I could now visit more areas of my ship. Naturally like any star trek fan boy out there I immediately ran through the rest of my ship however though still limited to fact that you cannot view the entire ship, you can now visit engineering level, Crew Level and the bridge.

Bridge, well not a lot here has changed except the addition of the captains ready room you can still buy using C-Store points new looks to the ship.

 Bridge

Engineering level has some nice spots to visit. You can visit the warp core in the main engineering room the Science lab; however it does seem to have some really extra room that could still be added into the game.

Warp Core

Crew Deck as well has some typical areas you would expect like the crew lounge, Sick bay and even the captains quarters that includes the bedroom and basic living room.Crew Lounge

Sick Bay

I have yet to really explore more of the game to discover the rest of the games new features as my ships is yet still floating in the same spot it has for the past months I do plan once I have received my desktop pc so I can play with better graphics.

For those Role Playing fans out there this means there are a lot more possibilities out there since you can have friends visit your ship and even go on away missions and team up and fight those pesky Borg junk piles.

I guess this wasn’t much of a review as just some of my thoughts on this game. After I Play a bit more I do however plan to give a proper review.

Sorry

Sorry for the lack of updates and content but things have been a bit hectic between moving and setting up my new place. In the upcoming future money should be a little bit more available and intern should allow me to purchase a new camera and some lighting equipment so I can develop more visual effects and even film a few short films this upcoming year.
